LimeRa1n Jailbreak Tutorial - iPhone 4 4.1

Here is a detailed tutorial for Jailbreaking Iphone 4 using LimeRa1n on iOS firmware 4.1 untethered version. Please note that this is the public beta release of LimeRa1n Jailbreak Solution that will run on Windows machine only. We are awaiting a MAC version at the moment. MAC users can use boot camp to run Windows and use this tool for the time being.

Step-By-Step tutorial to Jailbreak Iphone 4 using LimeRa1n :
1. Download LimeRa1n in your PC . Download size is 320 KB only
2. Please note that you must have an iPhone running on iOS 4.0 or later . To upgrade your device to iOS 4.1 read the Upgrade to iOS 4.1 Retaining Original Baseband Tutorial .
3. Now connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.
4. Start LimeRa1n using the exe file you downloaded.

5. Click on “make it ra1n” . It will now enter recovery mode . Now put your device on DFU mode manually when asked as shown below .
6. Hold Home + Power buttons together

7. Release the power button. Keep holding home button

8. LimeRa1n is now in DFU mode . The jailbreak will start doing its work now . Wait for it to complete .

9. Upon succesful completion , you will see the following message .

10. Congrats , you have a jailbroken iPhone now . Start playing with Cydia . All Jailbreak Apps here

11. Once Cydia is installed , you can uninstall limera1n from the limera1n app.

** NOTE :

Since this is bit early beta release of LimeRa1n , you may face some trouble with the jailbreak. Here are few LimeRa1n Bugs which we found out. If you are having any issue over LimeRa1n jailbreak , post your problems in the Jailbreak Forum .
